Grace Presbyterian Church
will hold its 17th annual Missions Conference March 3-5 at the church. Key speaker for all services will be Les
Thompson, founder and president of LOGOI, a ministry that trains pastors and
provides various outreaches to help the church leadership in the fast-growing
Spanish churches throughout Latin America.
The conference will begin on
Friday, March 3, with a service at 7:00 p.m. Additional services will be Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 9:30
a.m., 10:55 a.m., and 6:30 p.m. Other
speakers include Don and Sue Gahagen, church planters among the Quechua Indians of the
Andes mountains and indigenous tribal groups of the Amazon jungle region of
South America; Nena Cadiente, church planter in Timisoara, Romania, working in
evangelism and discipleship; Roger and Dianne Smalling, whose vision is to
bring the Reformation to Latin America by establishing leadership training
centers and writing dynamic reformed literature; Jay and Nancy Matsinger,
missionaries in the suburbs of Paris, France, whose ministry is personal
evangelism and discipleship; and Bill Sims, Southeastern Area Representative
for The JESUS Film Project of Campus Crusade for Christ. Ward Satterfield, Minister of Music and Outreach
at Grace, will lead the music during the conference. The praise team from Nueva Vida (New Life) Baptist Church will
participate in the Saturday evening service, which will be focused on ministry
in the Hispanic community in Dalton. Mr. Thompson will deliver the message in Spanish
during the Saturday evening service, with translation into English.
